A. D. LELAND was born in Kent, though lived for some time in rugged, beautiful Cumbria. Under a number of pen names, she wrote extensively for gothic fiction, horror, and science fiction journals, magazines, and periodicals, producing a significant body of work over many years. At the time of her death from ovarian cancer, A. D. was finally preparing to share some of her most cherished manuscripts with the world. Her New Eden and Chronicles of Sparhaven series were the product of several years’ work, and Frith Books is proud to present them in her memory.
The author royalties from A. D.’s work will go to her son’s family, and Frith Books will be making donations in her name to Cancer Reasearch UK.
